Theoretical lab project in the AG Belzig

We offer lab projects in theoretical physics (replacing one module of the Advanced Lab in experiment) for students particularly interested in theory.

The lab project is equivalent to one working day per week for one semester, but can also be handled flexible as block. The goal is to get an insight in some topic at the forefront of current theoretical research in condensed matter or quantum physics, to read some literature and to understand the basics concepts.

The topic we are currently offerering (non-exclusive list):

  • open quantum systems, dissipation
  • superconductivity
  • quantum magnonics
  • quantum information and quantum measurement
  • topological concept in many-body physics

If you are interested in the theoretical lab project, contact us by email or just drop by.
